Use for solids such as those from processing minerals, coal, iron ore, flour, non-oil based mists, and metal fumes from welding, brazing and other processes involving the heating of metals. Features the 3M Cool Flow Exhalation Valve for cool dry comfort, with advanced electret media, face seal and adjustable straps. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-certified respirators (N-95 or higher) are recommended for use during activities that have a high likelihood of generating infectious respiratory aerosols including pandemic influenza (Bird Flu).
